10. Stormy Kromer Factory Tour

The Stormy Kromer factory is located in Ironwood industrial park.  Come and see where it’s all made. Hear the stories, and take hold of the legend.  Visit the factory outlet for one of a kind exclusive merch.

9. Lake Gogebic

Lake Gogebic is the largest inland lake in Michigan, with 13,380 acres of prime fishing water teem with walleye, smallmouth bass, northern pike, jumbo perch, and whitefish.  Excellent place for summer water sports, camping, sightseeing, hiking, and fishing.


8. Miners Memorial Heritage Park

Miners Memorial Heritage Park (MMHP) is a 167 acre park that encompasses the historic mining areas of Ironwood, directly in the middle of the City.  MMHP has miles of trails for hiking, running, or biking.  The MMHP will be installing around 10 miles of new mountain bike trails in the Summers of 2021 & 2022 and will be a regional hot spot for biking adventures.  MMHP connects to various residential and commercial areas by trail connections and dedicated trail-heads.


7. Downtown Ironwood

The historic, cultural, and artistic center of the region.  Walk through Downtown Ironwood and see the history come alive through murals, and historic sites.  Visit an art gallery or take in a show at the Historic Ironwood Theatre.  Experience the local hangouts and grab a drink, bakery, or pasty.  Shop downtown and find unique items, to take home.  Downtown Ironwood is home to the Historic Ironwood Theatre, Depot Park & Museum, Ironwood Memorial Building, Carnegie Library, Downtown Art Place, Downtown City Square, Michigan’s Iron Belle Trail, Downtown Art Park, Pocket Park flower garden, and two miners murals.


6. Little Girls Point

Little Girls Point is an extremely accessible pebble beach located North of Ironwood on Lake Superior. The County park is a local favorite and has access to public beach, boat landing, campsites, and park facilities.  Located at the park is the secluded extension camp, which is popular for weddings, reunions, and gatherings.


5. Gile Flowage

The Gile Flowage is a secluded man made lake located in Gile Wisconsin.  Take a day and explore the waters with public land surrounding the lake. Great for kayaking, picnicking, boating, and fishing.


4. Presque Isle State Park

On the shoreline of Lake Superior, Presque Isle State Park is the entry into the Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State ParkPresque Isle is a wilderness area, that has excellent hiking, waterfalls, camping, kayaking, and fishing.  Spend a weekend secluded in the Porkies, and be surrounded by pure nature.

Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park is arguably the best state park in the State of Michigan.  It’s a massive wilderness area that borders Lake Superior.  The park is filled with rustic camp sites and cabins, hiking trails, lakes and rivers, and is a nature adventurers dream.  Filled with old growth forests, and far from civilization, feel refreshed.


2. Copper Peak

Copper Peak is the only ski flying hill outside of Europe.  The hill is located along the Black River National Scenic By-way and has access to hiking and mountain biking trails along the Black River.  Take a ride to the top and see unimpeded 360 degree vistas.

Black River National Scenic By-way is filled with old growth forests along the Black River.  Hike and view five different majestic waterfalls that flow directly in Lake Superior.

Black River Harbor is set up for camping, boating, hiking, and has a secluded sand beach.
