Wolverine Winter Challenge
Wolverine will sponsor a Winter Challenge to encouage participants to get out and enjoy Wolverine’s snowshoe, ski and snowbike trails. This year participants can choose to do one or all of the actvities. This is not a race and there will be no timing.
Activities in this challenge encourage participants to snowshoe one or all 5 snowshoe trails and/or choose to ski 10K on any groomed trail at Wolverine, either at one time or in parts. Those that want a greater challenge can choose to bike one groomed snowbike trail.
Registrants can participate anytime between Saturday Feb 5 and Sunday Feb 26, 2022. Register on-line at wolverinenordic.com
There is a $25. registration fee.
Registration opens Jan. 1, 2022.
Participants record their progress on-line. Each participant that completes a trail is entered into a drawing for door prizes, one entry for each trail snowshoed, one trail snow biked and/or after completing 10K ski (either all at once or at different times).
Team challenge. Teams of 5 or more members get $5 off each registration and the chance to take home the newly designed trophy.
We are also cooperating with the Gogebic County Extension 4H in planning a kids’ snowshoe challenge.
Proceeds from the Wolverine Winter Challenge will be used as matching funds to develop the Ottawa Loop and to promote, develop and maintain the trails at Wolverine.
