Where Art & Nature Transcend
When you think of summer in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, exploring nature and enjoying art is likely at the top of your list. Emberlight Festival’s Art in the Park gives you the best of both worlds by combining art within nature to create an immersive experience.
The Emberlight Festival takes place in the western U.P. and is the region’s premiere Art Festival consisting of over 30 events throughout July and August. Many of those events are free, including Art in the Park. See full list of events.
What is Art in the Park?
Art in the Park is a stunning and truly creative exhibition of art throughout the Miners Memorial Heritage Park. In the park and along the walking path, you will see how beautifully art and nature transcend each other. Each artist’s installation is an interpretation of this year’s theme: Essence of the Artist. Many of these displays are interactive and interpretive inviting you into the experience. Art in the Park’s Grand Opening is July 1st and will be available, rain or shine, through the end of August.
Art in the Park is for everyone, whether an art enthusiast or not. It is also family friendly and for all ages. The path is an easy loop that is less than a half mile and accessible for most people.
Don’t forget to pack your camera (or phone), bug spray, and sunscreen. The temperature may be cool during some days, so bring a light jacket, and don’t forget to wear some good walking or hiking shoes.
Art in the Park is a perfect way to escape the hustle and bustle of life and see how the beauty of art and nature collide!
