Saturday Adventure (Superior Falls)

Saturday Adventure

Saturday Morning

Waking up early, I head to an exercise class at NRG Fitness. Class is a fun welcoming environment with a variety of ability levels and something for everyone. After a great workout I walked downtown and hit up my favorite spots. Bake Superior is first for their fruit danishes and a loaf of the Berry White bread for French toast tomorrow. After grabbing something to eat I head down to Contrast coffee and get an iced Honey Lavender latte. There is a nice art park with chairs so I sat, chatted, and drank my coffee while I planned the rest of the day’s adventures.

From there I decided to go for a bike ride. The Iron Belle trail is so convenient and beautiful. I hopped on the trail in downtown Ironwood and took the Mt. Zion loop from there. There is a nice mountain bike trail that takes you all the way to the top where there is a beautiful scenic overlook. After biking back down the trail and home I decided it was time to head to the water. I loaded up the paddle boards and the puppies and headed to Little Girl’s point. On a calm day you can paddle the shore for miles and look for agates when you get back. Such a relaxing afternoon, sitting on the beach after paddling

Saturday Evening

I felt like quick trip to Superior Falls would be the perfect end to the day’s adventures. Hiking above the falls first then heading down to check them out from below is always one of my favorites. Perfect place to set up a hammock and watch the sunset. On the way back to town, I made a short detour to the Black River Valley Pub for some delicious homemade food and dessert. They have something for all tastes. After dinner it’s time to head back towards home. I dropped my car off, hop on my bike and head to the Cold Iron Brewery to end another awesome summer day in the U.P!
