Nordic Trail Conditions
As you plan your weekend adventure, don’t forget to add Nordic skiing to your list. Here in Ironwood, we are proud to be the best cross country skiing destination in the Midwest. The local topography, natural snow, and overall quality is an experience that is hard to beat.
With ABR ski trails being the premier cross-country ski trails facility in the Midwest and Wolverine ski trails in our back pocket, we also have our historic Miner’s Park right in town for you to enjoy nordic skiing, snowshoeing, and fat tire biking from the convenience of your doorstep.
As you explore the cross-country ski trails in Ironwood, you’ll find yourself located on acres upon acres of diverse woodland terrain, surrounded by beautiful scenery and pristinely groomed trails. Across the board, all three trail systems provide trails that are well-marked, and regularly groomed. If skiing isn’t your thing, strap some snowshoes on and walk one of the many snowshoe trails at ABR, at Wolverine, or at the Miner’s Park!
Ski and snowshoe rentals are available out at ABR’s warming hut, or in town at the HobbyWheel Ski & Bike shop.
Current trail conditions for each trail system:
ABR Trails = 100% open & groomed daily
Wolverine Trails = 100% open & groomed
