
Jack Frost Festival
The Jack Frost Festival is a community festival in downtown Ironwood, Michigan that starts in November 2021 and ends in January of 2022.
2021 JACK FROST FESTIVAL PRELIMINARY SCHEDULE [NOTE: partial list; many more events to be added and revisions are likely]
1 October to 4 December: Ironwood Chamber of Commerce $10,000 Jack Frost Raffle. Tickets (only 200 printed; each ticket costs $100) are available at the Chamber Office in the Historic Ironwood Depot and also at Northwind Natural Foods Co-op. Drawing will be on Saturday, December 4, 2:00 p.m., at Northwind Natural Foods
18 November: Old Depot Tree Lighting Ceremony—6:00 p.m. in Depot Park. Post-ceremony refreshments and carol sing-along inside the Depot. Special music by Luther L. Wright High School Choir members.
19 November: Gogebic Range Honors Band Concert at the Historic Ironwood Theatre, 7:00 p.m.
27 November: Warren Miller Ski Film at the Historic Ironwood Theatre, 7:00 p.m. Fundraiser for the Gogebic Range Ski Team
30 November: Jack Frost Parade Entries Due at the Chamber Depot office. NO ONE WILL BE ALLOWED ENTRY INTO THE PARADE AFER THIS CLOSING REGISTRATIION DATE.
3 December: WUPM Jack Frost Festival Radio Broadcast, live from the Chamber Depot office from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m.
3 December: Ironwood St. Vincent DePaul Customer Appreciation Day, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., stop in to see the Christmas decorations and for treats!
3 December: “Frost Friday” in Downtown Ironwood. Businesses open late; Historic Ironwood Theatre Christmas Movie “Joulutarina,” at 7:30 p.m.
3 December: NoEL Holiday Market, located at the Incredible Bank on Suffolk Street, with overflow vendors in other downtown businesses: 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on FRIDAY the 3rd and 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on SATURDAY the 4th.
4 December: NoEL Holiday Market Ice-Carving event from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in Ironwood’s City Square
4 December: Santa and Mrs. Claus at the Incredible Bank, 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.
4 December: Historic Ironwood Theatre Christmas Movie, “Miracle on 34th Street,” 4:00 p.m.
4 December: Ironwood Carnegie Library Open House, 4:30 to 6:00 p.m.
4 December: NoEL Holiday Market Santa Dash, starts at 5:30 in front of the Ironwood Carnegie Library
4 December: Jack Frost Festival of Lights Parade, 6:00 p.m., downtown Ironwood
4 December: Gogebic Range Concert Band after parade performance at the Historic Ironwood Theatre, at 7:30 p.m.
4 – 6 December: Snow Cross racing at Ironwood’s Mt. Zion; registration and practice runs on Saturday, Dec. 4th (register at the Mt. Zion Ski Chalet) with races on the 5th and 6th. Part of the Mid West Snow Cross racing series.
5 December: Ironwood Area Middle and High School Christmas Concert at the Historic Ironwood Theatre, 1:00 p.m.
11 December: Historic Ironwood Theatre Christmas Show, 7:00 p.m.

7–9 January: SISU Nordic Ski Festival; Friday registration (and vendor display) at the Memorial Building Auditorium, 4:00 – 10:00 p.m.; SISU races Saturday, beginning at ABR Trails with a “Finnish” at downtown Ironwood City Square; Sunday Fat Tire Bike event.
