Farm to Table: Ironwood Area Farmers Markets

The Gogebic Range Farmers Market Association has proudly hosted two incredible farmers markets in the Ironwood area for just over a decade. These markets are so important to us because they help build community relationships with local makers and growers in the Western UP and Northern Wisconsin, which is an integral part of creating a rounded local economy and more individual investment in our area. Our focus is on local vendors who believe in their unique and high quality products and want to share them with you!

Our two seasonal markets are:

The Depot Park Farmers and Artisans Market

June 23-October 6, 2023

Fridays, 4-6PM at the pavilion in Depot Park in downtown Ironwood*

(*every first Friday of the month this market runs 4-7PM at City Square in downtown Ironwood to combine with Ironwood’s First Fridays & Summer Concert Series)

The Ironwood Township Farmers Market

July 11-September 26, 2023

Tuesdays, 4-6PM at the pavilion in Airport Park, right next to the Gogebic-Iron County Airport in Ironwood Township

These markets are an amazing opportunity to not only learn about local products and producers but also experience fun events, learn from a variety of creators and educators and find new community resources. They’re a connecting point for our locals and out-of-towners to experience what our area is all about!

We pride ourselves on accessibility and inclusivity to all people. We believe in equality for all races, genders and walks of life and strive to make our markets a welcoming and safe space for everyone.

Financial accessibility is also important to us, so we offer the option to pay for food items with several food benefit programs that help our customers get the quality food items we all deserve. We accept:

-WIC Project FRESH

-Senior Project FRESH

-EBT

-Aspirus Fruit and Veggie Prescription Program FVRx

-Upper Peninsula Food as Medicine Prescription for Health

Visit our website to find links to information about these programs.

This season at the markets we have some exciting programming happening – everything from educational opportunities and information about local businesses to 4-H spotlights and food vendors and music! And don’t forget our talented and hardworking vendors—they provide a variety of products, including soaps, veggies, herbs, quilted items, art prints, tinctures, salves, jams, baked goods, jewelry, bags, yarn and more. We couldn’t be more excited about what’s to come and we hope you visit us soon!
