Miners Park Expands Ski Trail System

Monticello Trail

Uniquely positioned in the center of town, Miners Park features multiple branching trails used for day hikes, mountain biking, snowshoeing, and cross country skiing. Miner’s Park has recently added a new ski trail called the Monticello Trail, adding 1.2 km to the total 5 km ski trail system, and allowing one-way traffic on the main loop! With even more space to get out and have some good winter fun, now’s the perfect time to get some exercise on one of Miners Park’s beautiful trails.

Heritage 

Miners Memorial Heritage Park brings both nature and life to a previously abandoned industrial area, and fosters respect for the original mining sites the trails are built around. Miners Park was officially established in 2010 by the Friends of Miners Memorial Heritage Park, who continue to maintain, groom, and even plant new trees in the park.
