Kick off December with Festive Holiday Events

Each year, Ironwood, Michigan, transforms into a winter wonderland for the first week of December by celebrating the Jack Frost Parade and the Frost Friday Holiday Market. These beloved community events draw locals and visitors alike to enjoy the holiday festivities.

The fun kicks off on Friday, December 6th, with the Frost Friday Holiday Market. Downtown Ironwood will become a festive holiday marketplace, featuring nearly 30 vendors spreading holiday cheer. The Frost Friday Holiday Market is the perfect place to find one-of-a-kind local gifts while immersing yourself in Ironwood’s holiday charm.

The following day, Saturday, December 7th at 6 pm, the Jack Frost Parade takes center stage. This Ironwood tradition lights up Main Street with holiday-themed floats, decorated by local businesses, organizations, and community groups. Viewers gather along the parade route to enjoy the festive display. Be sure to have your seat by 5:45 to watch the Santa Dash take place. A group of Santas will dash through the parade route, bringing smiles and laughter to the heart of downtown Ironwood.It’s the perfect way to kick off an evening of holiday festivities.

  Kick off the weekend on Friday, December 6th, with the grand opening of The Kitchen at Northwind Natural Food Co-op. Stop by between 3 PM and 6 PM to explore their new offerings.
• Chamber Singers’ Christmas Concert
  Experience the magic of holiday music with the Chamber Singers at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. Performances are scheduled for Friday, December 6th, at 7 PM, and again on Sunday, December 8th, at 4 PM.
• The Polar Express at the Historic Ironwood Theatre
  Gather the family for a festive movie night as the Historic Ironwood Theatre plays The Polar Express on Friday, December 6th, at 7 PM. Tickets are just $8 per adult and $5 per student.
• Free Community Concert by the Gogebic Range Band
  Following the Jack Frost Parade on Saturday, December 7th, head to the Historic Ironwood Theatre for a free concert by the Gogebic Range Band. 
• Meet Santa at the Iron County Memorial Building
  Santa is making a special stop at the Iron County Memorial Building on Sunday, December 8th, from 1 PM to 3 PM. This is a free event that is fun for all ages.
• Ironwood Area High School Holiday Concert
  Wrap up the weekend by supporting the Ironwood High School students at their holiday concert on Sunday, December 8th, at 2 PM, held at the Historic Ironwood Theatre.
